Run from Desktop

Sell then Ship is normally runs using Java Web start   (click from  www.Sell-then-Ship.com ).
If you experience any problems with Java web start, we suggest running Sell-then-Ship from a folder
First check that you have java installed, and it is on the path.
 

Click Windows > Start > Run ...

type cmd  to run a command prompt

type java -version   to check that java is installed, and on the current path
This will show you the current version of java being used.

If you get the error, 'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
then you need to either install java, or add it the the path,
Please get Java from  http://www.java.com
Set the path using   http://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml

 

Don't process until the above check works OK, and you can print the java version.


Once you can print the java version, then download Sell-then-Ship as a zip file.

Open the STS.Zip file

Click "Extract All files" (Dont click on run.bat at this stage)


Extract the files to a folder

Select name of folder to extract files to.


Once extracted, Click on run.bat to run STS

STS will run from a  command window.

 

When running using run.bat,  you can check for updates using Help > Update Sell-then-Ship


Please note, when running from a command window, never highlight or select any text in the command window, as this will freeze Sell-then-Ship

 

DONT highlight (select) any text in the command window, as this will freeze sell-then-ship
If you accidentally select any text in this window, just press Enter key to unselect it, this will unfreeze Sell-then-Ship
